DOB Requirements for Full Accounts and Guest Checkouts
Full Accounts: If the "DOB required" setting is enabled, customers must provide their DOB during registration. The system will block sign-up if the entered DOB indicates the user is under 18. This ensures compliance with age-related restrictions.
Guest Checkouts: Guest users are not required to provide their DOB unless they choose to convert their guest account into a full account. This allows guests to complete purchases without entering DOB information. However, if guest checkout is disabled, this flexibility may not apply.
Enabling DOB Requirements in Settings
To require DOB during registration for full accounts, follow these steps:
Navigate to the platform settings.
Go to Settings > Store.
Ensure the "DOB required" setting is turned on.
