  1. Log into your Apple developer account.

  2. Click on analytics and then click on your app -

  3. You will see this screen with lots of numbers and data.

The most important bits are the ones the arrows are pointed to -

Total downloads by device - this shows how many total downloads there are (36) and you can also see the devices (iPhone/iPad).

Total downloads by source - this shows what source your players are downloading from.

App Referrer - These users downloaded the app after being referred by another app. Most likely, they clicked a deep link or a promotional link embedded within another app.

App Store search - Users searched the App Store using keywords and then downloaded the app from the search results.

App Store Browse - These downloads came from users who found your app by browsing the App Store, not by searching.

Unavailable - Apple couldn’t determine the exact origin of this download.

Web referrer - The download happens after a user clicks a link on a website (banner or app ads on your site).

The other bits like impressions etc are explained below -

  1. Impressions - This is the number of times your app was viewed on the App Store, such as in search results, featured pages, or app product pages.

  2. Units - This refers to the number of first-time app downloads (unique installs) made by users during this time window.

  3. Proceeds - This does not matter as Apple does not show this for comp sites (it's more like subs and that).

  4. Sessions - A session is counted every time the app is brought to the foreground and used for at least 2 seconds.

  5. Crashes - This shows how many crashes or forced terminations occurred during usage.
